This painting is a reproduction of a painting by Anna Razumovskay. I’m a self-taught painter and my artistic path started from making copies. First, I did not have a teacher and I painted as I could. Later I found an art studio and made a lot of reproduction there. Anna Razumovskaya is my favorite artist and I learned a lot from her art. I learned how to paint using my fingers and a pallet knife. Also, I stopped being afraid of big scale of canvas and let myself go.

What a buyer is looking for? If we step back from the general situation in the world, we can look at what is happening in art market. The US art institutions and galleries claim that that buyer's interest in classic fine art is declining. In the past,before the era of cameras, paintings were the main form of visual art. Portraits, still life and landscapes painted by famous artists were a sign of luxury and wealth. In the modern world, we have a lot of tools that can recreate beauty for everyone. Increasingly, buyers give preference to artwork that evokes their emotions, associations or suggestive thoughts. The buyer comes for inspiration. No matter what you paint about, whether it is the summer rays of the sun, the beautiful poppies in the fields or some abstraction. What you are filled with right now is more important. What feelings and emotions you would like to share? I can say that my most successful artworks were painted precisely from this kind of state I However, only an artist can fill the painting by emotions and bring energy into it. That what makes an artist and artwork unique. Are you agree ?

If you haven't watched the movie Frida, I recommend to watch it. Despite her tragic fate, Frida could find herself and became one of the best artists in the world. She had the fortitude to paint until her last days.🎨

What I learnt using watercolor is it doesn't meter what brand of paints you use. It's more important to know how to mix the colors, how to show a form. Getting your shadows right contributes immensely to being able to create a feeling of form, light and depth in your work. In this art work I use only one color, learning and playing with light and shadow.
