Great to see Madara, aka Might Delete Later, (the brilliant Amsterdam based electronic artist) at Beatport in LA last night! Madara and I met a few years ago at a CIAM writing camp for women in music in Montreal, Canada, at which I was honored to represent the Society of Composers and Lyricists —- so many powerful music creators from around the world in one place!

Also it was great to share the experience last night with the amazing EDM producer and DJ Flaviyake / Duck The Bass!

Operation KITTEN RESCUE - Day 8

After a week of trying to find the right medical care for the kitten, I finally decided to drive to the local shelter and ask for recommendations. Note that my family banned me from entering shelters years ago — for very good reasons (at least 20 very good - and furry - reasons).

When I arrived I witnessed this beautiful one year old Doberman being “surrendered” by his human.

I inquired about his story, then raced home and asked Dr. Jean-Pierre Williams to come meet him right away. By the time we returned to the shelter, the pup was already being adopted by another family.

This is great news for the dog (and Pierre says now he will keep me 🤣), but I’m still very sad as I wanted to show that poor dog some true love 💙🐕

Meanwhile kitty is cute and playful and getting lots of love 💙 Alexandria and I drove 45 miles to Korea town to get meds for him just now 💙

Operation KITTEN RESCUE!! Yesterday at the .la music conference, this baby was rescued from inside a wheel well of a car by some beautiful and kind people. We don’t know how long it was stuck in there before the moving car stopped at the site! Thanks to the big heart of for extracting the kitten from the car and to for lending her fine Yves Saint Laurent scarf to swaddle the baby, to for taking it to urgent care, to for everything, and to who helped keep baby comfy. This amazing kitty is safe at my place among some very curious dogs and cats. He’s had his medicine, baby food, and kitten milk replacement, and he has a soft plush comfort toy as well as a set of rainbow scratchers!

What a great day and incredible honor to be a guest speaker at the .la music conference founded by industry leader and all-around superstar, ! We kicked off the event this morning with our panel, “Breaking Through The Gayte” - about
Networking, Building Momentum, Building a Team & Creating Opportunities, and features panelists: Shira Yevin (Gritty In Pink), Mayra Vargas (Concord Music), Mike Turner (Music Supervisor), and Nitanee Paris ( and ).

Great night out with the family for a special screening of “Spacewoman”, the documentary about the groundbreaking career of Eileen Collins, the first woman to pilot and command a NASA space shuttle, directed by Hannah Berryman. Highly recommend!!

Ended the evening with a walk on the moon hand in hand with my loves 💙💙💙💙
