Happy National Chicken Dance Day from the cast of
the The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)!

Why perform all of Shakespeare’s plays the normal way
when you can flap through them at breakneck speed
with questionable accents, flying wigs, and enough chaos
to make Hamlet drop his drumstick?

“Alas, poor chicken… I knew him, Horatio.” 🐓

Come see the only show where
Romeo may dance the polka,
Macbeth might lose a sword fight to poultry,
and the history plays somehow become cardio.

Feathered enthusiasm encouraged.
Bok bok and behold: Shakespeare has never been this ridiculous.

Cast: Mike Devine, Rick Sherburne, Bill Rubidge, Amanda Hinsman, Maxie Davidson

This Mother’s Day, give Mom what she really wants… a night out and a good laugh!

Forget the flowers (okay, maybe keep the flowers 😉) and treat her to a delightfully funny Shakespearean show—opening June 4!

There’s romance, ridiculous drama, witty comebacks, and just enough chaos to make every mom say, “See? It’s not just my family!”

Make it a gift, make it a plan, or at the very least… make it a hint. 👀

Because nothing says “I love you, Mom” like laughing together at other people’s dramatic problems.

Hear ye, hear ye! This Cinco de Mayo, mark thy calendars for a most hilarious Shakespearean spectacle—opening June 4!

Think less “to be or not to be” and more “to taco or not to taco”… (the answer is always taco). Expect love triangles messier than spilled salsa, insults sharper than a lime wedge, and exits more dramatic than your last margarita-fueled decision.

Opening June 4, this riotous romp brings the Bard to the fiesta—where iambic pentameter meets tequila-inspired tomfoolery.

So gather thy crew, plan thy night out, and prepare for a show that would make even Shakespeare himself say, “Ay, caramba!”

Stay tuned—this is one summer kickoff you won’t want to miss. Tickets go on sale May 7th. EventideArts.org

Happy National Teachers Day!

Today we celebrate the mentors who spark imagination, encourage bold ideas, and remind us that every great story starts with a little curiosity.

That’s exactly what the Eventide/Kaplan Playwright Competition is all about—giving new voices the chance to be heard, stories the chance to come to life, and creativity the spotlight it deserves.

To every teacher who’s ever said “write it down,” “try it your way,” or “your voice matters”—this is your legacy on stage.

Here’s to the educators who inspire the playwrights of tomorrow.

Submit your play by May 17th and take a chance at winning the $1000 grand prize. More information at EventideArts.org

A lot of folks have been asking us what THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE ABRIDGED is all about. So here's a taste!
Can four crazy actors really pull off the outrageous task of presenting all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in 90 minutes? Enjoy this clip of all of Shakespeare's histories presented as a football game and see what we mean. This isn't your grandfather's Shakespeare.

Get ready to LOL like it's 1599!

In honor of "World Laughter Day" just a reminder that "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)" opens June 4th and runs through June 14th, and we think it just might be the most fun we've ever had on the Eventide stage.

All 37 plays. The comedies, the tragedies, the histories, the ones you loved in high school, and the ones you successfully avoided. All of it, live on our stage, in a single evening.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 7th!
