ONE WEEK FROM TODAY - Sunday, June 7, 2026 - NEW LOCATION for the 77 WEST MAIN SONGWRITERS CIRCLE! Meetings will now be hosted at BOOKS ETC - 78 WESTA MAIN STREET in Macedon, NY - 2:30 to 4PM.

SAME FORMAT: Bring your original songs - new and old - to share with other songwriters.

If you're looking for assistance or critique on a new song - or if you just want to sing one of your favorite originals - there's no better place than a gathering of songwriters.

Hosts - Joe LaMay & Sherri Reese - are veteran songwriters whose songs are being performed by a number of bluegrass, folk, and Americana artists. Fifteen of their original songs have been recorded by other musicians.

JOE LaMAY & SHERRI REESE are an American folk duo known for their harmonious blend of traditional and original folk music. The pair has been performing together since the late 1990s, drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of Appalachian and Americana music. Joe, a seasoned songwriter and performer, brings decades of experience to the duo, having been active in the folk music scene since the 1970s. Sherri, also a songwriter and performer, with her evocative vocals and banjo, complements their songs with a deep connection to folk traditions.

THIS FRIDAY • May 5, 2026 • 77 WEST MAIN presents LaMAY & REESE in concert, accompanied by JOHN STEVENS on bass, and MARSHALL SMITH on harmonica, at 8PM, preceded by our warm and welcoming OPEN MIC at 6:30 PM, hosted by Sherri Reese who will be filling in for Tim Rybinski.

Joe LaMay and Sherri Reese, a duo known for their close-knit harmonies and songs that sound like they’ve been lived in. Alongside them, John Stevens lays down the low end on bass.

Their songs wander through stories of love, hard roads, and the wide American landscape, carried along by honest playing and a deep-rooted feel for the music they love.
