Denver Memorial Park and Playground

Denver Memorial Park and Playground The Park is a 14-acre community park in Denver. The Trustees of the Denver Memorial Park (Park Association) own the Denver Memorial Park and Playground.

It consists of a War Memorial; baseball diamonds; walking trails; frisbee golf; playground equipment; pavilions; fish pond; recreation center; basketball court; skate & dog park. The Trustees include representatives from the following organizations: Trinity United Methodist Church, St. John’s United Church of Christ, Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Denver Lions Club, the Denver Orio

les Nest #54, the Denver Fire Company, and the Denver Fair Committee. The Park Association has leased the Park to the Borough of Denver for 199 years. The Park Association coordinates the scheduling and use of the park facilities and the Borough is responsible for maintenance, insurance, and coordinating long-term capital projects.

As we were reminded, Memorail Day is not a day for celabrations with picnics and a day off of work, it is to remeber the brave men and women who have served and who now serve to keep our country SAFE and FREE.

Momma Duck has once again plopped her brood into the safety of the Fish Pond while they get their little palmate feet acquainted with the water.
Then she waddles them up the plank and out into the big world.
