The Lake Loop Art Tour

The Lake Loop Art Tour Annual art tour around Lake Monona in Madison and Monona, WI on September 19th. Working artists host guest artists at their homes and studios.

Patrons are encouraged to bike or drive to each stop and enjoy a day meeting artists and supporting the arts.

Today we feature our final artist at location #5 - Debbie Kupinsky! Debbie received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA from Louisiana State University. Her work explores functional and sculptural forms and the intersection between the human and natural world. She's been a resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, The Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville, TN and the Arts in Industry program at Kohler in Sheboygan, WI and she maintains a studio in Appleton, WI.

Today's featured artist is Craig Clifford, guest at location #5 on our tour map. Craig received his BFA from California State University Long Beach and his MFA from Louisiana State University. His work uses the vessel as a format to explore the intersection between high and low culture, color and texture. He is a past artist in residence at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena Montana and C.R.E.T.A. Rome, in Rome Italy. He maintains a studio in Appleton, WI and is currently the head of the ceramics program at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
