Children at home looking for something to do? Why not try these writing exercises from Faber Academy?

- You open a cupboard in your house one day to find that its contents have been replaced by a mysterious flight of stairs. You decide to climb them – where do they lead? What do you find there?

- Write a review of your favourite book, explaining a bit about what happens (but don't give too much away!) and why everyone else should read it

- Write a story that includes these three words: kangaroo, spaceship, dance-off
