Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra Home of the Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra, Concert Orchestra and String Ensemble Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra, Inc.

is a community-based non-profit organization that is comprised of three orchestral groups located in Madison, CT. We create a welcoming and encouraging opportunity for young musicians, elementary school age through high school, to grow, contribute, and develop their talents, with other like-minded students from the Shoreline towns in central coastal Connecticut. (SYSO)
SYSO is a community youth symphonic orchestra composed of advanced high school age musicians from Connecticut. We play the great classical symphonic music as well as original contemporary compositions for orchestra. Our mission is to offer a high quality musical experience in orchestral playing for young musicians. Shoreline Youth Concert Orchestra (SYCO)
SYCO is a community youth symphonic orchestra composed of advanced middle school and intermediate high school age musicians from the Shoreline towns in central coastal Connecticut. We play a wide range of music to give musicians an introduction to the full orchestral experience. Shoreline Youth String Ensemble (SYSE)
SYSE is an introductory string ensemble composed of young musicians with at least one year of private study or public school experience. This group gives students an opportunity to focus on the techniques and ensemble skills of an orchestra.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that Bill Clemmons passed away last week. The family is hoping to have a wind or brass ensemble of his students perform at the funeral on Saturday, August 23rd. We are holding auditions for new orchestra members on Monday, January 10th! Come audition for all of our ensembles, from beginner to High School.

More information on our website. To schedule an audition, please fill out an audition request on our website.

​Auditions are held at First Congregational Church of Madison in May and again in September. There will be auditions in January or by individual request if there are openings.
