Some of our AquaZoo residents are enjoying exciting enclosure upgrades!

🦎 Mira the Asian Water Monitor has moved into a larger enclosure with more space to explore.

🐦 Kahn Kahn the Kookaburra is enjoying a larger space with opportunities to perch and stay active.

🐰 Lotus the Flemish Giant Rabbit has extra room for those BIG bunny hops!

🦎 Our iguanas are enjoying an upgraded enclosure with space to climb, bask, and explore.

At Hill City AquaZoo, we are dedicated to providing excellent care for every animal that calls AquaZoo home. Our ZooCrew works hard each day to support their health, enrichment, and well-being while creating environments that encourage natural behaviors.

These upgrades are just one of the many ways we continue to invest in our animals and their care. 💙

☕🦎 Asian Water Monitor at 7 Brew?! Only in Lynchburg, VA!

Mira had quite the adventure at 7 Brew! She made sure to monitor everyone’s caffeine intake, checked out the splash pad, AND gave 7 Brew’s landscaping her stamp of approval.

Safe to say, she had a blast exploring, and we had a great time educating those who came out for the adventure!

We loved getting to bring one of our incredible Hill City AquaZoo residents out into the Lynchburg community, and we had so much fun meeting everyone who stopped by to see Mira!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Help us make a difference for the James River! 🌊

At Hill City AquaZoo, conservation goes beyond the animals in our care. It also means taking action to protect the habitats, waterways, and natural resources right here in our community.

We're partnering with Lynchburg Water Resources for a James River Clean-Up Day, and we need volunteers to help us remove litter and debris and protect this important local waterway and the wildlife that depends on it!

🚗 Meet at the Canal Lot, 23 9th St., Lynchburg, VA
🧤 All clean-up materials provided

Registration is required. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, while volunteers 16+ may participate independently. After signing up, you'll receive an information packet with everything you need to know before Clean-Up Day.
