There’s a lot happening this fall, so it’s easier for me to break it down month-by-month 😬 Catch me this weekend at the Southern Maryland Sunflower Festival! 🌻 Grand-ish Opening of my new Tiny Studio happening the last weekend of the month, with Artsfest in between.

If I think too hard about how I’m going to make all this happen I start to freak myself out so we’re going to just keep our head down, and keep painting 🫣 I hope to see you in September!🌻🎨

Still wishing we were celebrating summer a little longer BUT that ghostie has my whole heart, and the gingham apple pie is just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Plus the Dolly prints get the hand-colored treatment so her butterfly can shine as bright as she did! ✨♥️ $8.50 each, mini prints ship for FREE, and they’re available on my website (or just shoot me a DM).

This commission tells a story I wasn’t sure I could adequately share…

She is an anniversary gift and it features 16 different flowers representing 16 different states/countries the couple have lived in over the course of their marriage. The sky represents the Air Force, the sea is for the Navy. The client shared a color palette with me that she liked, and the rest was up to me. While I wouldn’t normally advise squeezing 16 different plants into a 24”x30” canvas, these all bloomed better than I could ave hoped.

She was delivered on Monday 🙌 I’m grateful to have been a part of celebrating 25 years, and cheers to 25 more! 💜🥂

She’s not much bigger than my market tent but she’s got four walls, a roof, and a window. Heat in the winter, and AC in the summer! And she’s all mine, at least for the next six months. She’s my Tiny Studio, for my tiny art. She’s getting a makeover and then she’ll be ready to get to work hosting painting workshops, weekend shopping, and the occasional tarot reading. She’s just up the hill from the wharf and exactly where I want to be (full disclosure - ya’ll are gonna have to go up some steps, she’s on the second floor).

August may be for commissions (and oh my, I’m loving every single one of them and can’t wait to show you all once they’re done!); but August also means a new month of Mini Mail! Subscriptions close August 22, so yay me for remembering to share this before then 😂 Some new artwork, and a new sticker are included this month! And based on this month’s theme, I’ll give you all one guess as to what festival I’ll be doing Labor Day weekend…
