📚 **First Week Back!** 🍎

A few days late on the back-to-school post, but the first week is officially in the books for these two!

Zayden was more than ready to get back to school and get **4th grade** started. He put in a lot of work over the summer to better himself academically, and after just three short days, it’s already showing. Seeing his hard work and effort begin to pay off this quickly makes us incredibly proud. Keep working, Bub — you’re off to a great start! 💪📚

And for Zander, just like racing, this week was the beginning of a whole new journey. ❤️ His first day of **kindergarten** started off a little rough at drop-off — leaving Mom and Dad wasn’t exactly high on his list of things to do. But once he got settled in, he had an awesome day. By Thursday and Friday, he was ready to go back and do it all over again!

Two boys, two very different stages, and a whole new school year ahead of them.

We’re proud of both of you and can’t wait to see where this year takes you. ❤️

Another Saturday in the books at HQMA! 🏁

It was a day of progress, learning, a little frustration, and maybe a little fiberglass repair. 😂

**Zayden and the 2 made a HUGE step forward.** We've been working hard on his line, and Saturday it really started to click. For several laps he was putting the car where it needed to be, carrying much better speed through the corners, and finally showing us on the track what we've been working toward. There's still consistency to find, but the difference was huge and that's something we can build on.

Unfortunately, the 2 also came home with a few new battle scars. That's racing. We'll get it patched back up and ready to go again.

**Zander and the 8 had us scratching our heads most of the day. The car just wasn't running the way it should, but after making some changes before the feature it was noticeably better. We still have some work to do, but he drove it hard, put together some better laps, and picked up his **second win**. A nice confidence boost for a kid who's still just getting started.

Two boys at very different points in their racing, and both gave us something Saturday that we're excited to build on.

We'll fix the 2, keep working on the 8, dig through the data, and come back ready to do it all again.

🏁 FRIDAY NIGHT RACING RECAP 🏁

Friday night was a good one for Judd Brothers Racing, with two completely different races for the boys!

🏆 In just his THIRD race ever, Zander picked up his FIRST WIN!

He drew P1, started P1, and never looked back. From green flag to checkered, Zander led every lap and ran flat out the entire way. No lifting, no looking back, just Zander doing Zander things and having an absolute blast behind the wheel. 😂🏁

P1 ➡️ P1 ➡️ VICTORY LANE! 🏆

Three races in, and he’s officially a race winner. Pretty darn cool.

Zayden had a much different battle Friday night. He started P3 and spent the race battling between P3 and P4 on an extremely slick track. He had his hands full with a loose race car, got spun around once, gathered it back up, and kept digging.

It wasn’t an easy night, but he did a really good job hanging onto a tough race car and fighting all the way through. Sometimes the biggest victories aren’t where you finish, but how you handle the nights when nothing comes easy. We’re proud of the fight he showed.

Two boys. Two completely different races. One first-time winner and one heck of a hard-fought battle. Plenty to be proud of on both sides of the trailer.

🏁 Race Day Recap | HQMA

Another race weekend is in the books, and it was one full of firsts, learning moments, and plenty to build on.

💙 Zander

This weekend was a huge milestone as Zander turned his very first laps in competition! He did exactly what rookies are supposed to do… he learned.

He found the Huggie Rail, took a little sightseeing trip through the infield, gathered it back up, and finished his heat race while picking up some valuable experience along the way. Every lap taught him something new.

When feature time rolled around, he decided he wasn’t quite ready to head back out, and that’s perfectly okay. Confidence isn’t something you can bolt onto a race car. It comes one lap at a time. We packed it up, talked through the day, and started looking toward the next race.

The best part? This morning he was right back out in the driveway helping wash his race car, smiling, and already talking about getting back behind the wheel. That’s exactly the attitude we’re proud of. Saturday was just the first chapter, and he’ll be ready to write the next one on August 8th. 👊

💙 Zayden

The big boys were back on track this weekend, and Zayden continues to make strides every time he climbs in the car.

He started P5 in his heat race and finished P6. The car was just a little tight, so we made a small adjustment before lining up for the feature.

Starting P6, he brought it home P7. The finishing position doesn’t tell the whole story.

This was another step forward. Zayden turned his fastest laps of the season, the car is getting closer to where we want it, and every race teaches us something new. We’re intentionally trying different setups and driving strategies, using every lap to learn what makes both the car and the driver better.

We’re not racing the competition right now.

We’re racing ourselves.

Every week the goal is to leave the track a little better than we arrived, and so far this season, Zayden has won that race every single time.

A huge thank you to everyone who follows along, cheers these boys on, and supports our family’s racing journey. We’ll get back to work this week and be ready to do it all again on Saturday, August 8th. 🏁💙

Race Day. 🏁

The wait is over.

Tomorrow, Judd Brothers Racing is back at Hagerstown HQMA for another Points Race... but this one will be one we'll remember for a long time.

Zayden is ready to get back after it.

And for Zander, tomorrow is more than just another Saturday. It's the beginning of a journey we've been looking forward to for years.
