“The difference between the ‘impossible’ and the ‘possible’ lies in a person’s determination.”--Tommy Lasorda H.O.M.H. is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) community-based organization formed for physically and mentally challenged persons who live at home and whose families are willing to provide support.

Our purpose is to enrich the lives of persons with physical and mental disabilities by providing them with challenging learning and leisure time activities that develop individual skills, age-appropriate social opportunities, and encourage and support their participation in drama and other creative arts.

On March 21, World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated to raise awareness about Down Syndrome, a condition in which a person's chromosome 21 has an extra copy. Most individuals have two copies of this chromosome, but those with Down Syndrome have three, which is why the condition is also known as Trisomy 21. The 21st was chosen as the date and March, or the third month as the celebration month to represent the triplication of chromosome 21.
