I’ve enjoyed@creating and finishing this little landscape inspired by artist Milton Avery…..He was an amazing abstract artist , over 100 years ago.
I love the bold simplicity of the shapes, and I love the muted tones I used here……Sometimes small pieces encourage the viewer to come close and see the subtle textures and gestures I’ve included. I love the tiny finger painted pop of pink, makes me think, does this represent a final destination somewhere?
I’ll be traveling to New Mexico to paint plein aire …… do you see brights, or earth colors?
