West Texas Weird Encounters & Urban Legends

West Texas Weird Encounters & Urban Legends Share your paranormal and unexplainable stories of living in west Texas, Lubbock and surrounding areas. Eastern New Mexico I welcome your stories too!

I love a good story, Ive always been into strange and unexplained events. Years ago, I listened to an interview with a man who wrote a book about paranormal and strange occurrences within a 100 mile radius of his hometown and was inspired to document these strange occurrences & I’d love to do the same... But I need YOUR help....perhaps you have seen something strange in the sky late at night whil

e looking at the stars or gathered a group of friends on a Saturday night to check out a place rumored to be haunted only to have something unexplainable happen to you. Maybe your Texas town has an urban legend you heard since you were a kid. * With Texas being as large as it is I'm willing to take stories outside of the 100 mile radius of West Texas area but would like to stay.

Sasquatch in west Texas…
In the 1960’s a group of teenagers was drinking late one night on the outskirts of Big Spring, TX. Finding a secluded area in the mesquite brush they parked, drank & listened to music. Two of the young wandered off, 1 feeling sick, the other tagging along to make sure his friend was ok. Moments later they came back screaming, hysterical telling everyone to get in the car. They didn’t ask questions but scrambled & jumped in the car. Once in the car, the boys were yelling there was a “Sasquatch” after them.

The girl, we’ll call her “Sue” said as they were driving they could feel the back end of the vehicle being pushed down like someone very strong was hitting the truck of the car & lifting the back and as they were speeding off. Although they were looking to see who or what was attacking their car, it was dark and the tail lights didn’t seem to be illuminating anyone or anything. They seemed to be attacked by an invisible force. They were eventually able to find the highway & drive to safety, shook & not fully understanding what happened.

In many Bigfoot or Sasquatch encounters there seems to be an unseen force that can be felt but remains invisible. Have you had a Bigfoot encounter in west Texas? If so where was your unexplained encounter. San Angelo area is also rumored to have these creatures.
