Ink on the Merrimack is hitting the road this weekend for Greenriver fest. Looking forward to some great sets, interesting conversations, and bringing some stories back from one of New Englands best festivals. I’ve got a handful of interviews lined up already, but festivals always have a way of surprising you. Who should I make a point to catch? Any artists I should try and connct with while i’m there? I’m always looking for something new. As always if you happen to see me bouncing around, don’t be a stranger.

One of the things I enjoy most about running Ink on the Merrimack is stumbling across a lineup like this.
I recently caught up with Regals, Old Tom & The Lookouts, and Jarrett Villeneuve ahead of their June 19th show at The Press Room in Portsmouth. Between a standout debut album from Regals, new music on the way from Old Tom, and Jarrett preparing to release his first studio recordings, there's a lot happening with all three artists right now.
Give it a read, check out the music, and if you're in the area next week, this looks like a pretty good excuse to get out of the house.

Some albums grab your attention right away. Others reveal themselves a little at a time.
I spent the last week with The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow new album "Kept Rising" while talking with David Tanklefsky, Greg Daniel Smith, Chris Merenda, and Tory Hanna about the songs, the band, and the twelve years that brought them to this point.
The songs hooked me. The people made me want to keep digging.
