Always proud to see our artists juried into this show. We have a few this year, pictured here is one of Alyson Kinkade’s featured pieces.
The Colorado Governor's Art Show & Sale is unique in that not only does it support and showcase Colorado Artists, but the show also supports education and assistance to students and their families in homeless situations. The show’s slogan “Art with Heart” says it all; one-third of the net profits from the Show are donated to the Thompson Education Foundation’s Resiliency Fund for Unhoused Youth.
We hope our fellow art appreciators find a piece or two for their collection from this show knowing they’re making a broader difference with their purchase.
For International Women's Day, we are proud to recognize the 30 Colorado-based female artists selected to participate in this year's show.

Always happy when artwork finds a home!!! This Alyson Kinkade painting is headed to Great Britain.
Posted • This little beauty is getting packed up and off to it’s new home… across the pond! I’m thrilled to have a collector in the UK! Thanks for selling “Remembering Plains no. 56”
Remembering Plains is one of my most extensive series, started over twenty years ago. While painted as small works, the imagery gives a sense of grandeur that one feels looking over vast open spaces. It is not a literal translation of place, rather a filtering of my experiences, a memory of sky and land, a space for color to be bold.

A recent placement of an Alyson Kinkade painting looking great in its new home.
New work from Alyson Kinkade is splashing some color in the gallery. About her work, Alyson states... "My horizon series is about looking at one’s life goals and ambitions. They present in a bit of a blur, like the bands of color out the window as you drive past open spaces. Definition only forms with our focus of intent. Some lead into the next, some far off, others right at our feet... grounding us for our next move."

Painting professionally since 1999, Alyson Kinkade’s artwork is widely collected and exhibited throughout the U.S. She holds a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute.
Her paintings display the beauty of nature. Not solely a depiction of a place, but the feeling one holds while witnessing a sunset. Her work is expressive and bold, yet quiet and contemplative all the same. Alyson continues to create new works from her Loveland, Colorado studio.
What better subject than the sky to play with color and surface?’
Over the years my focus has transitioned more and more toward the fleeting beauty that surrounds us daily. My primary goal through the interpretation in paint of my observations of nature is to allow the viewer a moment of respite in the bustle of our days: to celebrate the brilliance of color, get lost in the airiness of the sky, or bask in the quietude of our open spaces.” -Alyson Kinkade
