Hi Don, Do you remember Manual, who worked at Jack & Jean's?We were reminiscing, so I thought I'd look you up. I spent some time with your mom when she lived in Simi Valley. Lost track of her when she moved to Texas. Manual is 81 and still active. He likes to tell me stories of you kids and some of the mischief you got into. We would love to hear how the family is - your mom, Bunny, Bob,Betty's kids. The art that you and John create is absolutely beautiful. John gave us a covered wagon and sailboat many years ago. Hello Don, today my husband found and bought one of your sailboat pieces in an antique store on the coast of Maine. He had been through several antique stores that day not buying a single thing, until he came across the sailboat. It still has the original label. It sits next to a framed map in our room and just seems to fit. He is not the type of person to just buy any artwork/antique, he found your sculpture particularly special. I was wondering if I was able to post pictures of the piece and send you a self addressed stamped envelop if you could authenticate this piece for him, or simply just provide an autograph. We would love to have it framed next to the piece. Your work is absolutely beautiful. - Amanda

Don DeMott, sir i have a piece of sculpture signed by yourself or John it has number6 inside a circle and signed DeMott . it is two sailing vessels on an onyx base i have had it since 1975 can you give me any information on this piece thanking you from Scotland
I have one as well, There is a number on the tag M102 On the tag it reads: "This design is from the collection of sculpture created by California artist John & Don DeMott. Each design is delicately hand fashioned under the supervision of the artists. It is made of fine quality of brass. Copper and steel and is mounted on imported onyx." I love this piece the stone is also signed. My question is when was this piece made?
