Two ‘91s and a ‘95 BlueFloral Jems walk into a bar…
It’s too early and I couldn’t think of something clever enough to end that with them walking out as Blue Multicolors :)
I liked the first one of these so much that I did a few more as a miniseries. There will be six total (including the first one that was done last year) and not sure if I will do any more. Finishing up the certificates this week and then they will be available for purchase.
They were all stripped of their finish; any dings or imperfections from the last 30ish years repaired, and then built back up with a finish that is a fraction of the original poly that was piled on those things. Original electronics and original hardware where appropriate/possible - swapped tuners and screws (factory ones from Rich@IbanezRules). Almost like a new Jem :)
I’ll post some more individual shots tomorrow.

Just in case anyone wasn’t aware, I do this work in basically every spare moment I get specifically because I love fancy guitars 😁
3 of these are mine, the other two go to friends that helped me get it all done. It took a hot minute, but they finally arrived at their forever home 🥰
Deepest thanks to everyone involved and most of all to for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to make a dream come true.

Gibson ES-335 I just wrapped up. This guitar is officially for corporate but is to be auctioned for charity in the next couple weeks - so it is available as soon as we sort the details.
Metallic purple back and sides; 5 shades of purple, 2 shades of metallic gold, black and white on the front in a Charoite design (like the Scofield I did for SV); Gorgeous striping and variegated gold leaf binding by - she crushed this one :)

Finished pic of the LP I was working on a little bit ago. This one was for both corporate and a buddy from the hacker nerd scene that I tend to run in. He wanted a green Les Paul…this one is pretty green :)

Redid the 335 :)
Sometimes it’s not what was in my head, so gotta take it back down and redo it.
Purple metallic nitro back and sides. I’ll seal the front once it cures for a couple days and then off to to take it over the top!

A couple of the Jemini distortion pedals I did for a buddy. The freshly done one is his, the other went to Steve. For being so small, they should be easy to bang out…but they ain’t! …pedals are a pain in the ass with that technique :)

Another of my personal prototypes just wrapped up…this one should have locked in all the sizes, specs and shapes for the small batch of 5 that is cutting right now.
Backplate not installed yet and gotta swap the singles to the new ones that just got here…but we wanted to play it :)
One of those 5 will be a hardtail, Brazilian board, two hum for a friend, but all the others built like this with full titanium bridge/spring claw and adjustable nut, K-Tar titanium tuners, one-piece 5A birdseye carbon reinforced maple neck (final ones have wheel truss adjustment at the heel), pickups with a super distortion in the bridge and prototype single coils in the middle and neck (thanks YY 👊). It’s a light one!

BDS prototype 1.6 (one of two) at which point the 1.7 version should be the final for this body style. Still figuring out how I want to do the grip accent and such, but I dig this one. I kinda just build these for myself…especially the prototypes, but this one got snatched up by Halcyon for a corporate event giveaway at the kickoff. (It’s totally ending up in an attic somewhere 😂)

Posted • Finally, she’s here and just in time for Christmas. After almost two years of waiting but boy was it worth it. Always special to add another swirl to the collection but when the swirl is done by someone who’s as awesome of a dude as David of , it’s even more special. Proud that I now have two of his art pieces here at the studio, lucky that I managed to get one of the PIA77BONs. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to your craft!
