Forging ahead with online courses. Started our Composition and Design course today! Had a terrific sign-up - Yay! Corona V isn't going to stop us. Hoping to open for live classes June 1. Colorado Fine Art Supply and The Frame Shop are open for business. Thank you to our loyal students and customers for all your support and encouragement.

The Premier Art Academy of Northern Colorado

Schissler Academy opened September of 2010. The academy teaches all levels: Beginner to Advanced. Beginners start with basic drawing from life and move through all phases of the curriculum. Basic drawing, value studies and color studies. Still life, Landscape, Botanical, Portrait and Figure drawing are just some of the subjects taught. Oil painting, pastel painting, watercolor painting and pen and ink are the main mediums used at the academy. Schissler Academy has two programs: The Foundation Program for those who want to start and the beginning and work through the basics of drawing and painting. The Certificate Program is for students who want to work up to an advanced level.
