✨ A LITTLE LIFE UPDATE… AND SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS! ✨
If you’ve noticed that I’ve been a little quieter lately—sharing fewer banners, posting less, and not taking quite as many orders—there’s been a very good reason! ❤️
As many of you know, we’re an Army family currently stationed at Fort Knox and living in Louisville, KY. Earlier this year, we received orders to PCS to Fort Drum, NY in October. That meant we were preparing for the whirlwind of packing our entire house, getting ready to sell, moving our family, and figuring out what that would mean for Boots & Banners.
At the same time, my husband applied for a very special Army position. Less than 3% of the Army has this job, so being selected was a HUGE deal—and we knew we wouldn’t find out until around the first week of August.
So we waited. And prayed. 🙏🏼
We prayed that God would lead our family exactly where He wanted us to go, and that whatever the answer was, He would give us the strength and peace to walk through it.
Well… our prayers have been answered! 🥹❤️
On August 6th, we found out that my husband, SFC Overstreet, was selected to attend Warrant Officer Candidate School! 🎉🇺🇸
This is HUGE news for our family, and it also means our orders to Fort Drum have been CANCELED! 🙌🏼
So, after months of uncertainty, I can finally say…
WE’RE STAYING IN LOUISVILLE, KY… FOR NOW! 🏡💗
We don’t know exactly when or where the Army will send us next (and probably won’t for another 5–6 months), but for the first time in a while, I can breathe a little easier knowing we don’t have to panic-pack our house in the next month. 😂
And that means…

I’m now booking banners for the rest of August, September, and October! 🥳
I try not to book more than about 3 months out because, well… military life. You just never know what the Army—or life—might throw your way! 😅
