na Skylark Central Kentucky-based Celtic music trio specializing in rich and rare old tunes, songs, & history Trio members are also available for workshops and seminars.

"na Skylark," which loosely means "the Skylarks" in Irish, is dedicated to the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, and Brittany. Using Ireland's national instruments – the Irish harp and the Irish uilleann ("elbow") pipes – as a centerpiece, members Lorinda Jones, Cathy Wilde, and Jannell Canerday weave the Irish fiddle, the Appalachian mountain dulcimer, the Irish concertina,

Irish flutes and whistles, the Irish bodhran (frame drum), and vocals into a tapestry of sound and feeling that's truly unique. na Skylark is available for concerts, weddings, receptions, and other performances both formal and informal. Harpist and leader Lorinda Jones is a board-certified music therapist and music educator, and is well-known for her ability to tailor a memorable performance for every audience. na Skylark also offers a multimedia "Celtic Midwinter" program that's perfect for warming a cold solstice night. na Skylark is listed with the Kentucky Arts Council (http://artistdirectory.ky.gov/Pages/PerformingArtistPage.aspx?ArtistID=92).

It's the day after our trip to the Loretto Motherhouse for a concert with the Heartland Harp Ensemble, and we're still at a loss for words! It truly was a gift from above to spend time in such a beautiful place, making wonderful music with, and for, such inspiring people. Thank you, Sisters of Loretto (especially Sisters Mary and Kathy), for your most gracious hospitality; thank you, dear audience, for filling the church with joy; thank you, fellow musicians, for your heart and passion; thank you, Lorinda Jones for spearheading this mighty effort; and finally, thank you to the sacred energies that bring such moments to our lives. Times and experiences like these make being human worth the hard parts. 💚
