LANWAR has always been about community, and while policy changes aren’t our favorite thing either, sometimes adapting is necessary to keep USA's longest continuous in-person lanparty going strong. The new UofL Youth Protection policies are designed to help improve safety, especially for minors. As with all events, all minors are still required to be under the direct supervision of their parent/guardian during the entire event.

We’re also introducing reserved sleeping spaces. At the last event, the sleeping room filled up completely, and we don’t want anyone arriving expecting a place to sleep only to find there’s no space available. Now you can choose your exact sleeping spot when you register, and it will be guaranteed for the event.

Thank you for being part of what makes the event special and helping LANWAR keep leveling up. We can’t wait to see everyone at the next event! Registration opens May 1, 7PM EDT.

We've added a couple more events to our schedule that we want to share, including our community-voted tournament!

Saturday at 2pm (EST) we have a sponsor-hosted event. Elite Technical Systems will be hosting a Hardware Speed Build. Let's see who can build a computer the fastest! Show up in the lobby at event time to sign up.

Saturday at 8pm (EST) is our community-voted tournament. We're hosting League ARAM 3v3s, so if that's your thing, listen up for sign-ups announcements over the speakers in the hall!

Getting so close to LANWAR 75! Before everyone arrives on Thursday, we want to give a few miscellaneous reminders to make this LW even more of a success!

Equipment:
- Updates - Please download any updates to games and/or software before arriving at LANWAR.
- Bluetooth Devices - Bluetooth keyboards, mice, and headsets may have issues due to the high number of those devices being used in one area. Plan accordingly and consider bringing wired devices.
- Power Strips - Each attendee is loaned one plug, so please bring a power strip for all of your devices.
- Power Usage - We allot 6 PCs on a 20 amp circuit. If you are bringing a PC that needs an excessive amount of power, please message a staff member ahead of time so we can accommodate you.

Health and Hygiene:
- Stay Home if You're Sick - We are actively in flu and cold season. If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of illness, especially a fever, please stay home. The health of all of our attendees is our top priority, and no one wants to end up sick.
- Personal Hygiene - We ask that all attendees practice good hygiene. Please shower, use deodorant, and wear clean clothes to ensure a comfortable atmosphere.

Respectful Conduct:
- Be Considerate - Please be mindful of others. Avoid behaviors that may disrupt or inconvenience them, such as excessive noise or inappropriate conduct. Persistent coughing can be disturbing as well.
- Respect Personal Space - LANWAR is a shared space, so respecting boundaries is very important. This includes keeping your setup within your three feet of space from left to right.
- Sleeping - Sleeping in the hall is prohibited. If you wish to sleep at LW, please use the sleeping room, and refer to our survival guide for more info.

Gamers!!!!!! Just under 75 hours left until LANWAR 75 - getting antsy yet??

This is our semiannual reminder about security. We take everyone's safety very seriously, so please check out our reminders below and the security section on our Survival Guide, linked below.

Always remember to wear your event lanyard, especially when going in and out of the hall, so we know you're supposed to be at LW. Please also do your part to avoid belongings going missing by not leaving out any easily-pocketed items, such as cell phones, controllers, Nintendo Switches, wallets, and keys. Valuables should not be left in the sleeping room unattended.

If at any time, you see something suspicious, or if something of yours turns up missing, let a staff member know immediately.

For all of you tournament lovers, today is your day! If you are interested in signing up to participate in a tournament, and you haven't already started, here is some info to help get you started.

Our tournaments team has started using start.gg this time around. We hope that will make sign-ups easier than ever, but let us know your feedback!

You can find all of our tournaments for this event by going to the LANWAR 75 page on our website, and sign-ups will take place at https://www.start.gg/tournament/lanwar-75/details. This does not include Puzzle Masters and Duct Tape Wars - more info on participating will be announced at-event for both of those, as always!

Please pay attention to the time and date of the tournaments you sign up for. We have reminders at-event as well, but don't forget you've signed up! We do take attendance and host informational meetings for each tournament an hour before they take place, so keep that in mind. Please note all participants must be at LANWAR - there is no way to invite your buddy at home or another location to participate.
