Sovereign Grace Music Over 35 years of producing Christ-exalting songs and training for the Church from our local churches

Sovereign Grace Music has been producing songs and training for congregational worship for thirty-plus years. Our goal is to provide local churches with new songs characterized by biblical truth and passion that honors God. While our lyrics cover many Scriptural topics, we continually return to God’s glory revealed in Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross—the gospel. The Savior transformed our h

earts and lives, and we can’t help singing about what is “of first importance” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Like Charles Wesley, we wish we had “a thousand tongues to sing our great Redeemer’s praise.” We pray the songs we write will produce the same desire in you and your church for the glory of God. Over the years, Jon Althoff has contributed significantly to the songs Sovereign Grace Music produces. We're thankful for his heart for the Lord and his gift for writing songs that help the Church sing!

For our upcoming album, Yours Alone, Jon and David Zimmer wrote a modern hymn,"Blessed Be Our God and Father," as a reflection on Ephesians 1:3–14.

The apostle Paul begins his letter to the church in Ephesus by recounting in one long run-on sentence the blessings believers have received in Christ. Before we were born, God the Father chose us in Christ to be holy and blameless. In Christ, we've been adopted into God's family. We've been redeemed through the blood of Christ, freed from the power and accusations of Satan, and forgiven of all our trespasses. It's almost too much for us to take in!

Our newest release, Blessed Be Our God and Father, helps us dwell on these precious realities, acknowledging that we did nothing to earn or deserve them. All the glory belongs to God alone, who has treated us with unthinkable kindness, for his everlasting praise and our ever-increasing joy.
