A reminder that even when you can’t have pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, you can still make art.

I’m missing my family from the US today as here in Spain they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so it’s a little strange not to be at some big family gathering eating pumpkin pie and turkey. But I’m ever so grateful for the life that I’ve created here in Barcelona with my family and I’m so thankful that even if I can’t be with my biological family, I can be with my chosen family.

For many of us foreigners living in another country, we don’t have our family members close, and so we choose a family filled with beautiful souls. So I celebrate this day and all the moments of this life with my beautiful friends and family here in Barcelona. Although I’m not gonna lie, nothing beats my Moms pumpkin pie 🥹🎃

Wishing you and your family, whether it’s your biological one or your chosen one a beautiful day filled with joy and thankfulness

Art vs. Artist 2024: I’ve been reflecting back on the past year and all the many changes in my life and art. I love seeing my work together like this as it helps me appreciate how much I’ve grown.

2024 was my first year for a lot of things: being a mother, moving across the ocean to a new home, creating a new life here in Spain, working as a full time artist, and transitioning into a surface pattern designer are a few of the big ones.

When I see how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown, I remember to be a little kinder to myself when the outcomes don’t show up how I think they should.

I remember to be grateful for this life and all the lessons I’m learning and I’m slowly learning how to let go of my old self to transform into a new version of myself.

Taking this lesson into 2025 as I look at the possibilities before me. 🥰

☁️Sharing my new Timeless Clouds pattern as my entry to the Timeless Nursery Wallpaper challenge. This design features soft clouds on light blue and white stripes creating a soothing atmospheric vibe that can easily transition from nursery room wall paper and decor to toddler and children decor.

2025 will be here before you know it! Here is my entry for the Spoonflower Design Challenge “2025 Tea Towel Calendars”.

I love birds and painted a Cardinal, Kentucky Warbler, Black Capped Chickadee, and a Carolina Wren for a set of acrylic paintings I made. These little birds have now been added to this fabric 2025 Calendar Tea Towel which can also be a wall hanging.
