Joyous Singers

The Joyous Singers is a community-based chorus based in the Louisville-Kentuckiana area. The Joyous Singers is a community-based chorus for those 55+ years.

They sing a variety of musical styles; sacred, Broadway, popular, gospel, etc. They sing a variety of musical repertoire including show tunes, spiritual, and folk. The choir rehearses on Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 am and is directed by Anita Mowery.

The Ensemble section of our Joyous Singers chorale had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the AAA Louisville Bats baseball game on Wednesday evening at our Slugger Field.
What an experience!
Considering the heat, having only 10 singers on hand and the crowd noise, we sounded pretty good. And they gave us primo tickets for seats behind home plate as they trounced their Iowa rivals 25-

Check out our upcoming concert at the Lyndon Baptist Church, Lyndon, KY. on May 17th.
This promises to be a great show featuring a selection of pop music from the 1940's through the 1970's.
