I'm incredibly honored and thrilled to share that my watercolor painting of Old Town Placentia won first place in the 18+ category at the City of Placentia Centennial Art Contest! Capturing the historic charm, unique architecture, and vibrant soul of our beautiful old town was a truly unforgettable experience. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the City Council and everyone involved in this milestone event. Seeing my piece displayed at City Hall and during the Centennial Art Walk is a moment I will always cherish.

خوشحالم و افتخار می‌کنم که نقاشی آبرنگ من از منطقه قدیمی شهر (Old Town Placentia) رتبه اول مسابقه هنری صد سالگی پالاستشیا را در رده سنی بزرگسالان کسب کرد. بازآفرینی اصالت، معماری و روح جاری در کوچه‌های تاریخی این شهر، تجربه‌ای فوق‌العاده برای من بود. صمیمانه از شورای شهر و برگزارکنندگان این رویداد ماندگار سپاسگزارم و خوشحالم که این اثر در ساختمان شهرداری و پیاده‌روی هنری شهر در معرض دید عموم قرار گرفت.

My second book was recently published. It is suitable for art enthusiasts who are new to painting and want to experience the joy of creating art.

Fortunately, starting a painting is easier than most adults believe. If you enjoy making art, I assure you that with minimal tools, you can engage in painting. Also, there's no need to worry about lacking the necessary skills to create a painting, because this book demonstrates each step in a simple way through images. Topics such as color mixing and creating diverse hues, the sequence of coloring from background to foreground, using different brush strokes to form various shapes, and applying light and shadow to depict depth and volume are all explained clearly.

Acrylic medium is very suitable for beginners and can be easily corrected if mistakes are made. It dries quickly, so the artist needs only a short time to wait before working on the previous layer. The painting can be changed as much as desired, and the underlying layers can be completely covered with color. Acrylic paint dissolves in water, which makes it user-friendly. It can be easily applied on various surfaces such as paper, cardboard, wood, and canvas.

Using a limited color palette is a well-known technique in art history, and great masters like Titian, Rembrandt, and Picasso.
شروع یک نقاشی ساده تر از آن چیزی است که عموم بزرگسالان به آن باور دارند. شما اگر دوست دارید نقاشی بکشید من به شما اطمینان می دهم با حداقل امکانات می توانید کارتان را شروع کنید . همچنین نگران کمبود مهارت های لازم برای خلق یک نقاشی برخوردار نباشید چون در این کتاب به صورت مرحله به مرحله و به روشی ساده سعی شده است آن را در تصاویر نشان دهد. مواردی مثل ترکیب کردن رنگ ها و ساخت رنگ‌های متنوع، ترتیب رنگ آمیزی از پس زمینه به پیش زمینه، استفاده از ضربه قلم های متفاوت برای ایجاد شکل های متفاوت در نقاشی، کاربرد نورها و سایه ها برای ترسیم عمق و حجم.

"Blue Waves" acrylic on canvas, 36"x 48", 2026

The girl is looking at her smart phone and the man in the painting is looking at a swimming pool. The blue colors in the pool and the light of the screen is similar but the quality of blue waves is different. One wave is physical and the other wave is electrical.
The formal relationship between the girl in the foreground and the man in the painting makes the connection of foreground and background stronger.

نگاه به صفحه گوشی و نگاه به استخر شنا مشترک فرمی بین عمل دختر و فعل پسر در نقاشی دیوید هاکنی است. مشترک دیگر رنگ آبی این دو فرم مستطیل که چشم را به خودش جذب کرده است اما موج های آبی و بازی نور روی آب کجا و موج آبی نور ساطع شده از صفحه گوشی کجا.
شباهت فرم بدن و جهت ایستادن این دو فیگور هم رابطه را تقویت می کند اما تضاد واقعی جایی است که تماشاگرها بی تفاوت به زیبایی‌های پس زمینه هستند و تمام این مشابهت ها قدرت تضاد را بیشتر می کند.

The contrast between the beautiful girl in the foreground and the lady in the background serves as the starting point for the visual story I want to convey in this piece. The similarities in their moods and poses are crucial in revealing the narrative, suggesting a subtle connection or contrast that invites viewers to interpret their relationship and the scene’s deeper meaning.

I was also inspired by Georges de La Tour’s mastery of chiaroscuro—the dramatic use of light and shadow. The museum atmosphere I depicted echoes his “night scenes,” where a single glowing light source creates an intimate, calm, and contemplative environment. In my work, the cellphone screen acts as a modern equivalent of La Tour’s candle, providing a focused light that highlights the figures and enhances the mood. This use of light not only draws attention to the subjects but also creates a sense of depth and emotional tension, bridging historical artistic techniques with contemporary themes.

تضاد بین دختر جوان در پیش‌زمینه و بانوی متفکر در پس‌زمینه، نقطه شروع داستان بصری است که می‌خواهم در این اثر روایت کنم. شباهت‌های موجود در حالت روحی و حالت بدن دو شخصیت کلید روایت این نقاشی هستند و نشان می‌دهند که رابطه یا تفاوت ظریفی میان آنها وجود دارد که بینندگان را به تفسیر آن دعوت می‌کند.

همچنین از هنر نقاشی زبردست فرانسوی دوره باروک ژرژ دولاتور در استفاده از نور و سایه، یعنی تکنیک کیاروسکورو، الهام گرفته‌ام. فضای موزه‌ای که من ترسیم کرده‌ام، حال و هوای شب‌های او را تداعی می‌کند، جایی که یک منبع نور واحد، فضایی خاص و آرام ایجاد می‌کند. در اثر من، نور صفحه گوشی همراه به عنوان معادلی مدرن برای شمع دولاتور عمل می‌کند، نوری متمرکز که بر روی شخصیت‌ها تمرکز دارد و حالت روحی اثر را تقویت می‌کند. این بازی با نور نه تنها توجه را به سوژه‌ها جلب می‌کند، بلکه عمق و تنش عاطفی را هم افزایش می‌دهد و تکنیک‌های هنری تاریخی را با موضوعات امروزی پیوند می‌زند.
