Only A Few Seats Left For Closing Night - Friday 12/20 at 9 pm!

Thank you all for your support throughout this process! Sunday night’s show was sold out, and we’re looking to do it again - only five $25 VIP seats remain! If you haven’t gotten tickets yet, grab some before they’re gone! (link in bio)

Ugly Cry Christmas to Raise Funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Toy Drive!

Thanks to your contributions, we are closing in on our Indiegogo campaign’s $3500 goal with less than two weeks before we open.

Inspired by the climax of our show, we are pleased to announce that Ugly Cry Christmas will donate additional funds we raise beyond our goal to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles annual Toy Drive.

“It’s my dream to turn this show into a holiday tradition that blends theater with giving back. Without spoiling too much, a toy drive is central to the plot, and that’s why this year, we’ll be supporting the Children’s Hospital Toy Drive,” says playwright Brianna Barrett.

“As a cancer survivor, I have a soft spot for kids dealing with treatment. Especially around the holidays! I was first diagnosed at 24 years old on Christmas, so I know it’s not the most fun way to spend the holiday.”

Written by Brianna Barrett and directed by Lindsey Neville, Ugly Cry Christmas is about Candy, a dejected 19-year-old barista living alone in Portland, and Gertrude, an elderly woman who shares her loneliness on a message board. Will their unlikely intergenerational friendship blossom in time to ensure neither spends Christmas alone, or will their differences keep them apart? Guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings and leave you inspired.

Ugly Cry Christmas will be performed at the Hobgoblin Playhouse in Hollywood as part of the FrostyFest 2024 holiday showcase on the following dates:

December 13th at 7:00 PM
December 15th at 7:00 PM
December 20th at 9:00 PM
