1. It's ok to make mistakes.
2. Finish what you start.
3. Nothing is perfect.
4. Deleting IG makes one more productive.
(These are the things I meditated over while drawing and coloring this.)
..
Coloring things has always made me nervous -
If you can believe it.
Until recently, I would always sketch and never color much. (It shows in my sketchbooks π«€)
If I did color, it was direct.
Painting with no sketching.
Coloring with markers, also, since I was a child, has always made me uncomfortable.
I never liked how you could see the mistakes or the patterns I chose to color in.
I always wanted it to be "smooth and perfect" from the first stroke.
I realize now, that it really doesn't matter.
That it's the imperfections that make it fun.
That it's ok to be loose with it and have fun in the process.
I'm learning to be more forgiving of myself and the process.
So here's this self portrait I did today.
It's far from perfect.
But .
I love it.
Be less afraid.
K.
Deleting IG again.
Thanks for hearing me out.
