We're gathering on Governors Island for an afternoon of Afro-Caribbean music, ceremony, and intergenerational joy.
Hosted by DuYe Moves and Legacy Women NYC, this is a communal offering of love, culture, remembrance, and celebration.
What to expect:
🥁 Live drumming from 5incredible acts
🎨 Taíno-inspired face painting for children 🫧 Giant bubbles and interactive play
👑 Head wrapping demonstrations
🧺 Bring a picnic, bring your family, bring your joy
This is just ONE of the free programs we're offering this summer — and we need your help to keep them going.
