Back in the early months of 2020, I spent my days sewing masks for friends and family. I also donated as many as I could to the veterans. ❤️
When I finally ran out of fabric and supplies, I found myself looking for another way to stay busy. That’s when KILL VIRUS was born.
At the time, the script was called HOST. Somewhere during production, someone on set started calling it The Host App, and the name stuck for a while. Years later, we finally landed on the title KILL VIRUS—the one that truly captured the story.
It’s amazing what can happen when you have the time, the determination, and the willingness to create something from nothing. What started as a way to pass the time during a pandemic became a feature film that I’m incredibly proud of.

🎬 Crew Spotlight: Jacqui
Y’all, we had so little money to shoot Kill Virus that we had to get creative.
At the time, SAG-AFTRA Covid protocols required us to have a doctor or registered nurse on set. That was an expense we simply couldn’t afford.
So… we posted a notice on Nextdoor looking for an RN who would be willing to join our tiny crew for a very modest stipend.
Then something incredible happened.
Jacqui—a recently retired nurse looking for a new challenge—saw our post and responded.
We made her a promise: if she committed to our 18-day shoot, we would do everything we could to help her find a paid Covid compliance position once we wrapped.
She took a leap of faith and said yes.
Before our shoot was even over, she had landed an interview with a company that staffed nurses on film and television productions. She got the job and went on to work on major productions like American Idol and America’s Got Talent. She even got hired to TRAIN new CCO's!!
Talk about a win-win.
Jacqui was an absolute blessing to our production. She brought professionalism, kindness, and an incredible work ethic every single day. We are forever grateful that she believed in our little film and helped make Kill Virus possible.
Thank you, Jacqui. We couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️🎥
