Yesterday, I acquired a car from a seller on Facebook Marketplace who guaranteed it was functioning flawlessly. Today, I found a large puddle of oil under the front tire, indicating a serious leak. The seller's failure to disclose this issue is concerning. I returned the vehicle to the seller's home, parking it in front of their driveway, and informed them that it would remain there until the issue is resolved. The seller's family is now asking me to move the vehicle, but I have refused. I believe it is essential to ensure that the seller takes responsibility for the vehicle's condition.

I have a late 1800's farmhouse. The town grew around it over time. I have some information on past residents. I have been told but haven't been able to confirm that it was the town water building for awhile. I have seen past agreements that suggested this is accurate because for some time the house came with free city water. This was before I owned it. I know the family information from the early 1900's and mid to later 1900's so being the water building would be early to mid 1900's era, maybe 1930-50ish.

I have springs and creeks in my yard. Some of them have a few pipe/tiles left. They are crumbling and I'm not sure how many more years they will last. My question is does anyone have information about these pipe/tile pieces? Perhaps approximate years or if they were used for carrying city water or mostly for historical residential creek control. Any information would be appreciated.

Found this weird anchor-like thing on the kitchen counter at our Airbnb by the ocean. There are two of them—both built into the countertop—and they pop up into little rings. At first we thought they were sockets, but now we’re not so sure. Anyone know what these are? Or are we supposed to tie ourselves down in case of a tsunami? 😅
