Living in LA, it’s rare I get to watch anyone’s full hour in a proper comedy club, so last night was a treat to sit in the audience and get to watch Ron Taylor with my family at Helium Comedy Club Portland! The hour is great and I can’t wait to see how it comes out for Netflix Is A Joke.

Nothing makes me happier than rooting for the good, funny people in comedy community who deserve the world. 🫶

Today marks 9 years of doing stand-up comedy! I don’t think I could have picked a crazier time in history to get into an even crazier career, but it’s been nothing short of interesting. And I’m so grateful for all it’s brought me: in development at The Comedy Store and Hollywood Improv, multiple Netflix Comedy opportunities, and more.

Standing on stages (or sometimes just an “area)
Thanking audiences after shows
Making flyers on Canva
Going to sleep praying a booker knows my name someday
Learning how to be a “fun hang”
Killing and bombing
Bombing and killing
Making friends with amazing people
Keeping an open mind
Practicing patience
Finding my voice
Rediscovering my confidence
Not quitting

But most importantly, finding happiness over and over again.

Thank you to everyone who’s ever given me a chance, booked me on a show, shared a clip, bought a ticket, and so much more. It’s a really nice feeling.

I love this life and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
