We take pride in finding, incubating, and showcasing new music, whether local, national, or international. The Fold continually scours L.A's tinsel strewn streets in order to present the finest in new music such as Meg Myers, Kitten, Grouplove, Local Natives, Sam Sparro, Robert Francis, Entrance Band, Cold War Kids, The Bird and the Bee, Benji Hughes, Silversun Pickups, Autolux, Earlimart, Metric, B.R.M.C., and Devendra Banhart as well as being the first L.A. club to host notables such as Jessie Ware, Tame Impala, Band of Horses, Emile Sande, Lianne Le Havas, The Head and The Heart, Broken Bells, Mates of State, Rufus Wainwright, Vampire Weekend, A Place to Bury Strangers, Pinback, Bright Eyes, Black Heart Procession, Deerhoof, My Morning Jacket, The Kills, Secret Machines, TV on the Radio, Polyphonic Spree, Fiery Furnaces, and Broken Social Scene among what must be at least five thousand more by now! And not to have mentioned numerous memorable shows from Acid Mothers Temple, Garbage, The Locust, The Rapture, ...Trail of Dead, Elliott Smith, The Breeders, Neko Case, and Jonathan Richman just to name names. Our main focus recently has been to develop the Bootleg Theater in HiFi (Historic Filipinotown near Echo Park), and have turned it into what we think is one of the premier and most versatile concert and event venues in Los Angeles.
