Westside Family YMCA Guides & Princesses Our program develops and fosters the relationship between dads and their children through their crucial growth years.

The Y Guides & Princesses program is designed to help parents and children set aside time to spend together by going on adventures, sharing new experiences, meeting new friends, and building memories that will last a lifetime! Actively participating in your child's life is the most important gift that you can give them. Y Guides and Princess members are organized into small groups called "tribes"

that usually contain six to twelve parent and child pairs. Tribes are from the same geographic area, school and grade. Tribes hold their monthly meetings at the homes of their members where the members share in activities, crafts and snacks. Several times a year all the tribes take part in larger Federation activities: Overnight cabin camping trips, community service projects, Pinewood Derby races and a sleepover at the Aquarium.
