It’s my 31st birthday today and I took a solo trip to Sequoia National Park because I wanted to see the big ole trees lol. 3.13🌹✨

The Sequoias grow fast and live long. When you combine that with sufficient water, you get a massive tree. (Amongst other things)

These trees remind me so much of how I want to be … planted and rooted in Christ. I was once the woman at the well.. thirsty, needing the “sufficient” water that only Jesus gives that truly quenches your thirst.

Ive now tasted and seen that the Lord is good.

🥂 abiding, remaining in Him, maturing, and producing much fruit.

Walking with God and building a relationship with Jesus isn’t always easy. There will be moments of growth, moments of stretching, and moments where you feel tired or you might want to quit.

But one day you’ll look up and realize just how much you’ve grown.

The only way you lose is if you quit.
So don’t stop seeking God … you will soon find Him. 🫶🏾🌹

My pastor once said that the ultimate fulfillment in life isn’t receiving, it’s giving. Everyone has something to give and someone to feed. God fills you so you can pour into someone else, and maturity is when you begin feeding others.

When I first heard that, I wasn’t 1000% sure what I had to give.

But when I saw God Is, a teen girls devotional by Alena Franklin about learning who God is so you can know your identity, I immediately felt led to start a teen girls passion group last year. I was excited… but then fear crept in and I talked myself out of doing it.

The opportunity came back around this year and despite the fear, I went for it. (With a big push from some close people in my life ofc lol.)

Tonight I wrapped my first passion group with these teen girls and wow… what a gift. But also a responsibility I’ve learned can’t be done without doing it with God.

Every week I got to see what childlike faith really looks like. Their confidence, their honesty, and even their wrestling with believing in God at times. Yet they kept showing up with their questions, ready to talk it through.

I’m not sure what these young ladies walked away with, but I know for sure they poured into me.🤍
