“Your Quest Begins” Oil on Canvas 36 x 48”
“What does it feel to be a gamer?” That was the question that resonated with me the moment [Co-Founder of ] and I first talked about the creation of this piece.
A couple of ideas came to mind immediately, but I was most excited by the depiction of two players standing by the entrance to another world where you can explore and have the most unbelievable journeys.
During the creation of this oil painting, I quickly realized how many of these games were bringing lots of memories from my childhood years. I never labeled myself as a gamer, per sé, but they’ve been around my entire life, and more so as an adult.
Today the artistry and music involved to make such masterpieces have been the main source of inspiration for me and the artwork I make. It has shaped my entire adulthood now. Being a gamer is not just playing games; it involves curiosity, skill, quick thinking, strategy, teamwork, passion, love, and friendship.
Being able to immerse myself during the creation of this piece felt so surreal, a massive throwback, a full experience. And I hope many gamers can resonate with it as much as I did.
