PREY’s Dan Trachtenberg To Direct Animated FREDDY THE 13TH Movie: PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS director Dan Trachtenberg is tackling another animated film, this time an adaptation of FREDDY THE 13TH.

On this day (June 19th) in 1968, "King Kong Escapes" was released in North American theatres, eleven months after originally premiering in Japan.

Co-produced by Toho Company Ltd. & Videocraft International (later known as Rankin/Bass Productions), and distributed in North America by Universal Pictures, the film finds the legendary King Kong battling various monstrous threats, including his robotic double, Mechani-Kong, built by the villainous Doctor Who.

Starring Rhodes Rheason, Akira Takarada, Linda Miller, Mie Hama & Eisei Amamoto, this film is a fun and unique entry in the King Kong franchise, and is definitely worth revisiting today!
