📺On September 13, 1969 the animated series “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!” premiered on Saturday morning on CBS! Developed by Joseph Barbera, William Hanna, Iwao Takamoto (who designed Scooby-Doo, the Mystery Machine, and the teenage gang), and Fred Silverman, and created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears. The opening theme was performed by Larry Marks (1969-1970) and George A. Robertson Jr. (1970). The series featured the voices of Don Messick, Casey Kasem, Frank Welker, Nicole Jaffe, Stefanianna Christopherson, Pat Stevens, and Heather North. It focuses on four teenagers Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy, and their talking dog named Scooby-Doo, who travel in their van, named The Mystery Machine, bumping into and solving mysteries. Once solved, the group typically discovers that the perpetrator of the mystery is a disguised person who seeks to exploit a local legend or myth for his or her own personal gain. Originally airing 25 episodes, a selection of episodes from the later series Scooby's All-Stars. and The Scooby-Doo Show were aired on ABC under the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! name, and they were released and marketed as its third season in 1978.📺
