MAN PUSHES HIS DYING DOG UP THEIR FAVORITE MOUNTAIN IN A WHEELBARROW FOR ONE LAST WALK TOGETHER

Carlos Fresco, a hotelier from London, had owned Monty since the labradoodle was a puppy.

The two had hiked together for ten years. Their favorite trail was Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons in Wales.

When Monty was diagnosed with leukaemia, the walks became shorter. Then they stopped completely.

Knowing the end was close, Carlos drove Monty back to Wales, found a wheelbarrow, and pushed him up the mountain for one last visit.

Strangers helped him on the climb. Monty died days later, holding on long enough for one more Father's Day with the man who raised him.

What do you do when monkeys keep stealing your lunch on the way home from school?

A young Thai girl named Noey had her answer.

She started carrying an airsoft rifle. Every day she walks through the streets of Lopburi in her school uniform, the toy gun resting against her shoulder.

The macaques recognize the shape immediately and back away. No shots are ever fired.

A wildlife photographer snapped one of these walks. The photo went on to win a Wildlife Photographer of the Year award and reached the desk of the Thai Prime Minister.

The monkeys are still there. So is Noey, with her airsoft.

MISSOURI TOWN VOTES OUT EVERY CITY COUNCIL MEMBER WHO APPROVED A $6 BILLION AI DATA CENTER

In Festus, Missouri, a town of about 14,000 people, the city council quietly approved a $6 billion AI data center to be built on 360 acres just north of Highway 67.

Residents say they were never properly heard. Meetings were held in private. Documents were released too late.

A week after the approval, the town held a regular election.

Voter turnout jumped 129 percent. Every single council member who had voted yes lost in a landslide. A 70-year-old first-time candidate beat an 8-year incumbent by 40 percentage points.

Now a recall petition is circulating to remove the mayor as well. The lawsuit against the city is already filed.

A drunk driver rear-ended a car on a Missouri highway. The car went off the road and burst into flames.

Cordell Williams, his fiancée Lacey Newton and their 4-month-old son were killed. The couple's two other little boys, Bentley and Mason, were left without parents.

Their grandmother, Cecilia Williams, took them in. She also made a promise.

She drafted Bentley's Law: every drunk driver convicted of killing a parent must pay child support to the surviving children. Six US states have already passed it. More than a dozen others are now working on it.
