Does Laura really expect people to believe she’s heading back to Turkey for skin removal surgery? From what I understand, one of the main requirements is being at or near your goal weight and maintaining it for a while. Maybe that’s more flexible in Turkey (clearly a hotspot for repeat procedures), but it feels like she’s not being realistic with herself.
I was actually rooting for her before the tell-all, but her attitude really put me off. She came across as smug, a bit of a know-it-all, and even mean-spirited—not exactly someone easy to support. And let’s be honest, it’s pretty clear she’s regained a noticeable amount of weight since that so-called consultation in Turkey. At this point, surgery doesn’t seem like the best move—at least not somewhere like the U.S., where they tend to be stricter about those criteria.
It also feels like the attention from reality TV has gone to her head. The way she treated Michael was dismissive, while she seems to overlook red flags with “Beercan” because she’s attracted to him. Meanwhile, she’s not being fully honest with herself about her current situation. Michael seemed to genuinely support her health and fitness, whereas Beercan’s story about conveniently winning money to clear his debts sounds questionable at best. Instead of jumping into surgery, it might make more sense for her to focus on getting her weight back on track first.
