LINDSAY CLANCY JURORS BREAK SILENCE — “HE ADMITTED HE HAD REASONABLE DOUBT” ⚖️🚨

Jurors from the Lindsay Clancy murder trial are now speaking publicly about what happened behind closed doors after the case ended in a mistrial.

According to the jury foreperson and two other jurors, one male holdout acknowledged that he had reasonable doubt but still refused to agree to a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity. The jury ultimately could not reach a unanimous decision after more than 38 hours of deliberations.

Clancy admitted killing her three children in 2023, while her defense argued that severe postpartum psychosis left her unable to understand the wrongfulness of her actions. Prosecutors disputed that explanation. The mistrial means the case remains unresolved, with prosecutors still considering what comes next.

My take: This raises a difficult question about the meaning of reasonable doubt. A juror is allowed to disagree with the majority, but the legal standard must ultimately be applied to the evidence and the court’s instructions—not simply to personal feelings about the crime.
