I finally saw Michael and I gotta say… I really don’t understand the huge gap between critics and regular viewers on this one.

Right now it’s sitting at around 37% from critics, but the audience score is like 97% with thousands of people rating it on Rotten Tomatoes. That alone should tell you something. Critics didn’t connect with it, but the people actually going to watch it clearly did.

For me personally, this movie hit. I teared up multiple times. It didn’t feel like some basic biopic. It really pulled you into the humanity, pressure, and artistry of Michael Jackson.

And Jaafar Jackson? He did his uncle PROUD. He didn’t just play Michael, he became him. The voice, the way he moved, the presence… it was honestly kind of crazy to watch. And the dancing was top tier. It really felt like watching Michael again.

The movie ending with the Bad era in London in 1988 was powerful, but it also felt like just the beginning. There’s still so much story left, so I really hope they continue this with sequels.

Moral of the story… don’t let critics decide this one for you. Go see it and form your own opinion.
