This past Friday we had our 4th Qué Me Cuentas Live Storytelling event and this time we were at the beautiful Fullerton Museum Center as featured artists for their monthly open mic ‘Light The Mic’, thanks to our friend from poetry and theater, Elvia . Their regular community local folks served as our opening act in a way 😄. There was poetry, music, and even magic. Our theme this time was ‘Uy, Que Miedo’. Stories about fear, ghosts, and scary situations and the stories covered all of that. Our 2 storytellers from the hat (or moon.) were awesome. New locations & audiences can be scary but the challenge was exciting. We were proud of what we shared/presented. A special shout out to friends who drove from far away, to Shay who runs the open mic there, and to our faithful producer for being our time keeper and having our back that evening. [Please join us in early month for our final show back in Highland Park, before we take a break. ]

Our next live event will be on Friday evening Oct. 6th in Fullerton, CA. We will be doing a partial take over of their long standing community event, ‘Light the Mic’ with the last half being their regular open mic. We’re excited to be collaborating with our Teatro & Poetry community friend who is generously open her doors to us as featured artists. While the theme of the night is “Uy, Que Miedo”, don’t be afraid of the drive, or scared of going to a new location. The Fullerton Museum Center is beautiful. Come and share a story maybe. Join us for our final or one of our final events of the year. More info coming soon.

The folks of Mindbuzz Media and Horchateria in the city of Paramount were kind enough to host us at their space and record our event. It’s our third live show. We’re still learning and improving each time. The stories we got this evening were rather heavy collectively. Maybe more than we’d expected for the ‘School Days’ theme, however we’re proud of the vulnerability from our storytellers. This platform we’ve created is for our community to share whatever they need to share. Take a look if you get a changes. Thank you always for your support.
