🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃”Chasing Infinity!” 🤩🦅 This song was released 13 years ago… should I be superstitious?! 🧙I’m going back into the same studio where we tracked this album next week. 💿 Perhaps superstition can be a lucky charm… 🤩🍀🎸🎉⭐️

🎸 The 12 String has my heart, and Maton Guitars takes it to another level! 🤩🕺💃 Who loves the album “Friday Night in San Francisco” by Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucía and John McLaughlin?! 💿✨ It was a life changing record to me many years ago… Expansive musicality evolved so much from listening to it: concepts of flamenco style phrasing, fast runs that land in specific moments on the beat, different tones I hadn’t used before, and unique approaches to the harmonic minor scale. 🎸 This song “Cleopatra’s Eyes” was my attempt to compose an original piece that could give me that same feeling of FIRE when I played it. 🔥

Check out the live duet of “Cleopatra’s Eyes” with Christie Lenée and Tommy Emmanuel on my Instagram page or YouTube Channel. 📺

And a big shout to fellow 12string players Leo Kottke, John Butler and Melissa Etheridge. 🥳 May we share in the love of this magical instrument! 🌍 😍🕺⭐️

👋 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Mel Robbins trick… this is how we can move towards a life of possibility, and conquer that voice of self doubt! 💪 Does anyone else have a name for their self critic? I call mine “Ursula.” 😂 She often needs to be reminded that she’s not allowed to take control of my life. 🛑 As Elizabeth Gilbert says in her *Letter to Fear*: “You’re allowed to have a seat, and you’re allowed to have a voice, but you are not allowed to have a vote. You’re not allowed to touch the road maps, you’re not allowed to suggest detours, you’re not allowed to fiddle with the temperature. Dude - you’re not even allowed to touch the radio. But above all else, my dear old familiar friend, you are absolutely forbidden to drive.” 🚙

Let’s take the wheel of our lives friends! Life is precious, and YOU you get to decide who’s driving. 😎💪🚙

Listen to “That Voice” on Spotify Christie Lenée (on album “Coming Alive”)- the chorus reminds us NOT to listen to that voice. Link in story 🎸🎸

☀️🌞 “Let the sun shine through!” 💫 Fun fact: I originally wrote this song as a bossa nova (latin vibe), then decided to make a more acoustic pop version during the recording of my album “Stay.” It’s fun to remember playing this on BALCONY 10 years ago under the sunshine, and somehow it feels just as relevant right now! 🤩🌟 May us bright lights shine a little brighter for those that need it most. 🥰🌠
