I started this tonight. This is 4 hours of focused work with only one break to consume some Raising Cane's. I’ll keep working at it on the days to come. I know I say this about all my work, but I love this one so far. The excitement I have for each piece I make is nothing I have to beg. I am completely in love with the process of making art with no disregard to mistakes. I am so grateful I have eyes that see and hands that can move. 💙

Very thankful to the person who purchased this piece, and the words they shared around their choice to collect it. 🧡 I painted this very quickly after moving to Colorado from MS - one of the many beautiful things I was enamored by were the bright and inviting birch trees. To look up at them made me feel like a kid again - watching the light cast through the leaves at a rapid pace. I love that someone connected to this piece in the same way, and that it reminded them of their own childhood. 🫠 Art really can be a love language, and I’m so grateful mine speaks joy.
