Taking it back to October 2015 with these original flyers and tear-outs from the Huntington Beach Independent and Los Angeles Times , published October 29, 2015.
AnARTchy was a SoCal punk art show at Rainwater Gallery on Main Street in Huntington Beach.A good friend of mine gave a me a ring and told me about this show that was in the works, and they needed artists. I made a few phone calls and got a group of people together for Ingrid McLeod, and for a little while we took over a piece of Surf City’s Main Street with art, music, and a pretty great crowd from the punk scene.

Jack Grisham of TSOL came down and read from his newly released book, A Principle of Recovery: An Unconventional Journey Through the Twelve Steps, followed by a Q&A.
The AnARTchy show also screened NOFX’s Backstage Passport 2, hosted by co-director Jeff Alulis and followed by a Q&A, along with D.H. Peligro of the Dead Kennedys and others taking part.
Rikk Agnew, Casey Royer, Mike Roche, and a bunch of other familiar faces from the SoCal punk scene came through as well.

Rainwater Gallery closed its doors a year or two later,but to have invaded Surf City’s Main Street with a bunch of legendary punk rockers and artists was not a bad little piece of history to be a part of.

Remembering Johnny Ramone.
October 8, 1948- Sept.15, 2004…

I discovered The Ramones when 👁️was 8 years old. They changed my life. My dream was to meet them, and the camera became my ticket to photograph them. June 17, 2005 my dream came true. Aside from documenting more than a few handfuls of Ramones related events through the years, in 2001 thanks to Arturo Vega, I had the incredible opportunity to interview Johnny. Today, 22 years after his passing, I’m remembering Johnny Ramone through a collection of photographs and memories captured from over the years. magazine tear outs, stills, hand-printed photographs, The RAMONES Be Well benefit at Spirit Theatre in NYC, the RAMONES 30th Anniversary Celebration and Johnny Ramone tribute event, and a still of Nicolas Cage from the unveiling of Johnny’s statue, sculpted by Wayne Toth, at Hollywood Forever in 2005. I’ve also included a photograph of my sons at Johnny’s monument in 2006.

The RAMONES knew exactly who they were when they formed, and they never changed their look or sound to fit whatever trends happened around them, they stayed true to themselves and thats why their music remains so influential and important, and nobody played it like Johnny, one of the coolest cats ever to pick up a guitar. The Ramones were, and always will be, the greatest band in the f**king world! Turn up the volume and keep their spirit alive. “hey Ho! let’s Go” 🎸👊🏽💥

Seeing this is a little unsettling. I just saw Cheap Trick on September 5th, headlining the Pacific Amphitheatre with X. Rick Nielsen shot me a guitar pick during their second song ‘Elo Kiddies’,. You know I still have that pick and will cherish it forever!!! Such a great night already but that made it even more memorable.
Wishing Rick a full and speedy recovery.

and so castles made on sand, fall into the sea… eventually 🏯🌊. I consider those people blessed for what they had, while they had it. What a privelage and a luxury. No different than the thousands who lost their homes and loved ones in fires, and floods. My heart goes out to everyone on this planet. The thousands of innocent people we lost on 9/11 and their survivors, earthquake and tornado survivors, those we lost from cancer and cancer survivors and those fighting for their lives. Mother Nature is just reminding us she is in charge, not us. 🫶🏼✨

I am on an absolute rock ‘N’roll with these guitar picks I’ve been given this week. Each one handed to me by its player. I would have had a couple more from the Ramones 50th anniversary tribute, but I made sure this cool kid got them instead, and it felt really good to see him get hooked up. It’s been a real cool week. 🎸🎶

102 solid passes on my Tales from the Crematory manuscript, and now, HAHA HAAA, an agent is interested. Of course she is.

I’ve long since significantly altered the entire arc and format of the book, with the title serving more as a metaphor. Long gone is the paranormal fiction novel I thought was near done. Shooooot, if writing a novel was that easy, we all would do it. But hey, I tried … and now I have a better compass and direction, thanks to some very valuable and honest feedback from a dear friend who took the time to read my manuscript… so. I’m writing a memoir now, which is something I’ve been encouraged to do for quite some time, but, hardly really felt my life was interesting enough . Well, I’m baring my soul in this version. And yes i deliberately blur images of my written work cause I’m very protective of it. I’ll share the process and keep you up to date on its progress, but the actual words stay close to me until they’re ready to be let out into the world.
So… What’s it about? A girl who confronts and survives some truly f**ked up s**t in her life and somehow made it through okay. And that’s it. It’s honest, and it’s not made up. I don’t need to make anything up. There’s enough I’ve been through that readers are going to have a hard time believing some of it is true as it is, or at the very least, they’ll be highly entertained, and... want to keep reading. That’s the point, right?

So yeah... Finally an agent is interested in the manuscript I’ve long since canned, and.... I dunno. I’m just going to hold off for a few days and get back to her later. Isn’t that the way life works though? Oddly enough. HA.
The irony is almost as good as me sitting on hold with my phone provider this week over shoddy reception, and after 54 minutes of waiting, my call drops.

Maybe that’s just the universe’s way of keeping me on my toes, like a ballerina. Ha!
