🎭 Southern Theatre Presents Stephen King’s “Misery” in Logan 🔥
Southern WV Community & Technical College Theatre is set to captivate audiences with the intense psychological thriller Misery, based on the novel by 📖 Stephen King.
✍️ Written by William Goldman, who also penned the screenplay for the Academy Award-winning film starring 🎥 Kathy Bates (Best Actress) & James Caan, Misery was later adapted for Broadway with 🎭 Bruce Willis & Laurie Metcalf.
📖 The story follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a 🚗 car crash by his self-proclaimed “ #1 fan”, Annie Wilkes. Paul wakes up in Annie’s secluded 🏡 home, where she nurses him back to health—until she discovers he has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. 😡 Enraged, Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he soon realizes Annie has no intention of letting him leave. 🖊️ Paul must write as if his life depends on it—because it does. 😱
