California Arts Advocates is urging the #CALeg & @gavinnewsom to increase funding for the California Arts Council from $26 million to $40 million (an increase from .66 per person in CA to $1), to ensure meaningful support for the impactful work of arts and cultural organizations. In the 2021 CAC grant cycle, roughly 58% of grant applicants were denied due to lack of funding.
