The mercurial producer, better known as
Yuni Wa, possesses the unique ability to hone and mold his sound to any
atmosphere he deems appropriate. Always quick to stray from convention, the
worldly Wa never stays on one planet for too long and the breadth of his
discography speaks to this. Rather than fear the unknown, he embraces it,
pushing forward into new sonic territory with each release. While
his work is teeming with digital experimentation, it is also steeped in
tradition. Born into a lower class family in Arkansas, Yuni’s participation in the
church choir served as the foundation for his musical palette. Releasing his first
album at 13, his prolific pace has never settled, as he now has over fifty releases in
his discography. He has been co signed by artist such as Dam-Funk and Skylar Spence and has garnered around 15 million streams to date.
