Be honest — are you a “finish the one you’re working on first” stitcher, or do you obsess over the new canvas until you cave and start it anyway? 😂
This one has been my white whale canvas for a while — hard to find, easy to obsess over, and apparently impossible for me to talk myself out of loving. 😂

I finally saw it in person today, and that was it. There were two. I grabbed one. Both were gone within seconds.

I started kitting Euro Summer today, and I am dying to dig in… but I absolutely refuse to touch a single stitch until my current canvas is finished.

Euro Summer is officially waiting in the wings. 🍊🇮🇹💙

I’ve gotten a few of the same questions about our upcoming days at Deer Stone Lodge, so I thought it might be helpful to give you a little peek inside the setting itself. 💙

Deer Stone Lodge is a private residence in Monroe, North Carolina, not a hotel or event venue, and it’s being opened especially for these small-group finishing experiences. It’s warm, welcoming, beautifully decorated for the season, and gives us plenty of room to spread out, learn, stitch, and enjoy the day together.

We have two opportunities to join me:

October 8 — A Day of Finishing
Round Ornament Finishing in the morning, lunch and a curated needlepoint pop-up midday, followed by Irregular Ornament Finishing in the afternoon.

November 23 — Stand-Up Finishing Workshop
A full-day hosted finishing experience with small-group instruction, lunch included, and a curated needlepoint pop-up.

All of the class supplies you’ll need are provided aside from your own stitched canvas, and there are now only a few spaces remaining.

I hope this carousel answers some of the most common questions I’ve been getting and helps you picture what the day will actually feel like. I’m really looking forward to welcoming everyone into this beautiful space.

Registration details are available through the link in bio. 💙

There’s something about coming home after a particularly hard day in a middle school classroom and putting a needle in my hand that brings me back to myself.

Tonight, it was adding the extra rows to this beautiful birthday crown — stitched by a mama for her little boy’s first birthday — and apparently the needlepoint gods knew exactly what I needed. The blues and greens are basically my entire personality, right down to matching what I was wearing. 💙💚

And somewhere along the way, those extra rows became more than just finishing prep.

With every stitch, I found myself quietly wishing this little boy all the good things: teachers who see him, classrooms where he feels safe enough to be curious, friendships that make school sweeter, and experiences that challenge him in the very best ways — the kind that help him learn, grow, and become exactly who he’s meant to be.

His mama stitched the love into the crown.

Tonight, I got to add a few little blessings around the edges.

Turns out sometimes the work that needs finishing helps finish putting you back together, too. 💙

Things have felt a little heavy this week, so I reached for something bright and cheerful—happy colors, a sweet little bunny, and the quiet rhythm of pulling thread through canvas.

Stitching doesn’t make the hard things disappear, but it gives our hands something gentle to do while our hearts catch up. Sometimes choosing joy looks as simple as choosing the brightest threads in the basket.

Here’s to finding a little light and love this week.

I’m so excited to finally share the details for our Stand-Up Finishing Workshop at Deer Stone Lodge in Monroe, North Carolina. 💚

This will be a full-day, small-group finishing experience on Monday, November 23, 2026, designed to give you the time, space, and hands-on instruction to work through the process of finishing your own stand-up piece from start to finish.

We’ll spend the day learning together, enjoying lunch, visiting a curated needlepoint pop-up, and — hopefully — doing exactly what needlepoint does best: creating, connecting, and sharing a table with people who love this craft as much as we do.

Workshop Details
Monday, November 23, 2026
Deer Stone Lodge • Monroe, NC
$240 per person
Lunch included

Please bring:
• A completed stand-up canvas with any needed extra rows already stitched
• Backing fabric
• Cording materials
• DMC 5 Pearl Cotton is preferred for cording

This is my final stand-up finishing class of 2026, and because I want everyone to have plenty of individual instruction, space will be limited.

Registration details are available through the link in bio.

I cannot wait to see who ends up around this table. 💚

The skies may not have been blue today, but this beautiful little bluebird still managed to make a visit. 💙

Fresh off the finishing table today, and I just love how this one came together — those blues against that bright green, finished with a navy, white, and green twist. Such a happy little piece on an otherwise gray day.

One of several finishes completed today, but the one I had permission to share — and she was too pretty not to. 🪡

An endless summer sounds pretty good to me… especially if there’s cording involved. 💙

A little twist, a little color, and one of my favorite parts of bringing a finished piece together.

Sunday stitching just feels different. There’s something so soothing about slowing down with a canvas that reminds me of the Lowcountry — all of those soft blues, greens, sandy neutrals, and the kind of colors that make you exhale a little deeper.

I love being able to see this one coming together stitch by stitch, but I’ll be honest… seeing Scout there as my little needle minder brings me an unreasonable amount of joy. 💙

Exactly the kind of quiet, happy moment my soul needed today.

There have been a lot of exciting announcements around here lately, but at the end of the day, this is still the part that brings me the most joy. 💗

Okay… this client may officially have me rethinking pink.

You may remember the first piece from when I was adding the extra rows it needed before finishing. Now her whole group is complete — and she wanted tassels, so we leaned all the way into the color.

Bright cording, bold backing fabrics, tassels, beads… every piece has its own personality, but they still feel like they belong together.

And I have to admit, this much pink is making a pretty convincing argument.

Which one is your favorite?
