This Friday, June 19th, 11:30am, the Kauai Ballet Academy will present a free performance in celebration of JUNETEENTH. The performance is a culmination of KBA's Summer intensive Workshops. One of the three guest directors of the Summer Intensive, RHAPSODY TAYLOR, will perform (which is an added treat!). KBA is Kauai's (if not Hawaii's) preeminent Ballet Company. This is an excellent opportunity to check them out! They have classes for beginners, intermediate and experienced dancers. Ages range from Kindergarten - adult.

The Kauai Ballet Academy is holding Summer Intensive Classes at the PAC, Monday-Friday, June 8-19, 8am - Noon. Adults can get into the act with their classes on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:45, June 3 - July 29 (no class on July 15).

Joseph Moore invites Kauaʻi audiences into a dreamlike world of music, memory, and imagination with Music from the Hologram, an original immersive piano experience taking place Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 PM at the KCC Performing Arts Center. Blending original piano compositions with atmospheric storytelling and visual imagery inspired by island landscapes, oceans, forests, waterfalls, dreams, and personal life experiences, the performance moves beyond the traditional concert format into something more cinematic and emotionally reflective. Moore describes the music as emerging from “the inner landscape of a lifetime,” where memories, emotions, and imagination transform into sound. Audience members may feel as though they are traveling through fragments of forgotten dreams and reflections of places that seem both mysterious and strangely familiar. Known throughout Kauaʻi as a performer, educator, composer, and Artistic Director of Kauaʻi Chorale, Moore has created Music from the Hologram as a deeply immersive artistic journey where music, atmosphere, memory, and storytelling merge into one continuous experience.
